Prins Photography and Design LLC

Effective Date: 12/22/25

By booking a session, purchasing a gift certificate, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are intended to clearly outline expectations, protect both parties, and ensure a positive experience.


1. Business Information

Prins Photography and Design LLC is a Michigan-based photography business operating as a limited liability company. All services are provided under Michigan law.


2. Booking & Retainer

A signed contract and paid retainer are required to reserve a session date. Sessions are not considered booked until the retainer is received.

The retainer secures the date and covers time, preparation, and administrative costs. Retainers are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Remaining balances, if any, must be paid by the date specified in your invoice or contract.


3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Clients are required to provide a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice to cancel a session.

  • If proper notice is given, the retainer will remain non-refundable.
  • Cancellations made with less than two weeks’ notice may result in forfeiture of all payments made.

Weather Policy

Photography is weather-dependent. In the event of unsafe or unsuitable weather conditions, Prins Photography and Design LLC will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the session at a mutually agreed-upon date and time. Weather-based rescheduling decisions are made at the photographer’s discretion.


4. No-Shows

Failure to attend a scheduled session without notice will be considered a no-show. No-shows forfeit all payments and the session will not be rescheduled.


5. Copyright & Image Usage

Prins Photography and Design LLC retains full copyright ownership of all images created.

Clients are granted a personal-use license, allowing them to:

  • Print images for personal use
  • Share images on personal social media with photographer credit

Clients may not:

  • Sell images
  • Alter, edit, or apply filters to images
  • Use images for commercial purposes without written permission


6. Marketing & Model Release

Unless otherwise requested in writing, clients grant Prins Photography and Design LLC permission to use images for:

  • Website and portfolio display
  • Social media
  • Marketing and promotional materials

Clients may opt out of image usage by submitting a written request prior to or at the time of booking.


7. Image Delivery

Final images are delivered digitally through Pic-Time unless otherwise stated in writing.

Turnaround times are provided as estimates and may vary based on season, session type, and workload. Specific delivery dates are not guaranteed.

A minimum number of edited images is promised for each session type; however, the exact number delivered may vary depending on the session, conditions, and artistic outcome. Image quality and storytelling take priority over quantity.

Online galleries are available for a limited time. Clients are responsible for downloading and securely backing up their images. Prins Photography and Design LLC is not responsible for lost files once the gallery has expired.


8. Artistic Style & Expectations

Clients acknowledge that they have reviewed and are familiar with the portfolio, editing style, and artistic approach of Prins Photography and Design LLC. Artistic judgment regarding posing, composition, lighting, editing, and final image selection is exercised at the photographer’s sole discretion.

Image outcomes may vary based on lighting, weather, cooperation of subjects, and other uncontrollable factors. No specific poses, expressions, or moments are guaranteed.


9. Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for:

  • Arriving on time
  • Cooperation of all participants
  • Securing necessary permissions for locations

Prins Photography and Design LLC is not responsible for missed images due to uncooperative subjects, late arrivals, or circumstances beyond the photographer’s control.


10. Liability & Limitations

Prins Photography and Design LLC takes the utmost care in the performance of its services; however, by booking a session, clients acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in photography services.

Prins Photography and Design LLC shall not be held liable for circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:

  • Equipment malfunction or failure
  • Data loss or corruption
  • Weather conditions or natural elements
  • Lighting challenges or environmental limitations
  • Venue restrictions or location limitations
  • Uncooperative or distracted subjects, including children or guests
  • Delays or missed coverage due to client tardiness or interference
  • Acts of God, illness, injury, or emergencies

In the unlikely event that Prins Photography and Design LLC is unable to perform due to unforeseen circumstances, liability is strictly limited to a refund of amounts paid. Under no circumstances shall liability exceed the total amount paid by the client.

Prins Photography and Design LLC shall not be liable for consequential, incidental, or emotional damages, including dissatisfaction with personal appearance, expressions, or subjective interpretation of the images.


11. Digital Files & Archiving

Prins Photography and Design LLC is not required to retain images beyond the gallery availability period. Long-term storage is not guaranteed.


12. Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are non-refundable, non-transferable, and must be used within the stated validity period. Gift certificates have no cash value.


13. Website Use

All content on this website, including images and text, is the property of Prins Photography and Design LLC and may not be copied or used without written permission.


14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.


15. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a session, submitting payment, or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
